Taiwan-based Alpha Networks is ready to mass produce Google Talk-enabled WiFi phones, with commercial production set to begin in accordance with clients’ product roadmaps, according to company CTO Tim Kang. In addition to its voice functionality, Alpha Networks’ first Google Talk-enabled WiFi phone will also support Google’s Gmail, Kang said, noting that the company also plans to develop new phones equipped with a video communications application.
