Advanced Micro Devices' high-performance Athlon processor, code-named Thunderbird, will also make its debut Monday, company sources said.
The new chip, with 256 kB of integrated cache and copper circuitry, will reportedly run at speeds ranging from 750 MHz to 1 GHz and higher.
Meanwhile, AMD's Duron processor, a low-cost version of the Athlon, is slated for release June 12.
