AMD Expected to Launch DX11 GPU on Sept. 10
Could the ATI DirectX 11 card be launching on September 10? Could be!
Earlier this year during June, AMD demonstrated at Computex the first DirectX 11 GPU, and most recently at Quakecon, the chip maker is showing off its latest silicon once again.
Expreview got a hold of an AMD presentation from Quakecon that reads, "On Thursday, September 10, 2009, you won't believe your eyes… Please join us as we unveil a new PC experience. Formal invitation with more details to come."
Given the timing of the slide and the recent demonstration of the ATI "Evergreen" DX11 hardware, it's a safe assumption that AMD will be launching something next month.

I hope so! GFX cards have been stagnant too long!
What do you mean? Graphics cards are better, cheaper, and more available than ever before. This is just another excuse to upgrade
another excuse to upgrade? it is another excuse to drive prices down and to get more bang for your buck! bring out all of your high priced stuff! i want to get some cheap 4870's!
(btw this works by: new things are introduced, prices are about the same as the equivelant, last generation versions. the prices of those last gen versions go down as they arent being promoted as much as the new things, maybe starting to stop making/dry up in numbers. plus new, more powerful cards means that nvidia will also have to drive prices down to match ati! ohhh screw 4870's i want some 260's! ^^)
I just upgraded my GPU to the GTX275! Did I waste my money?
