Tangent Multi-touch AIO PC Packs Nvidia Ion
For consumers looking for a high-end all-in-one PC, Tangent just might have the rig for you.
Tangent has quietly launched a tasty all-in-one PC that features a 20.1-inch, resistive dual-touch screen, Nvidia Ion graphics, and a dual-core Intel Pentium processor. Granted all-in-one PCs like Tangent's VITA 2000 aren't exactly tailored for hardcore enthusiasts looking to expand with meatier components, but this compact rig-in-a-screen may be well suited as a secondary PC for work, finances, multimedia, or to play World of Warcraft in the closet.
With a clear base and frame surrounding the AIO's screen, the VITA 2000 looks rather slick. Powered by Windows 7, and sporting a native resolution of 1600 x 900, users will find six USB ports, 1 eSATA port, VGA, RJ45, HDMI, and SPDIF ports on the back of the machine.
The VITA 2000 also boasts a 4-in-1 card reader, a 1.3MP webcam with microphone, two integrated 3W HiFi speakers, a Slim DVD super multi drive, and integrated wireless connectivity (Gbit LAN). There's even an expansion slot for a 1x mini PCIe card.
Depending on your wallet, Tangent is offering some pre-purchase customization. Consumers can choose between the Intel Pentium T4300 and T4500 CPUs, up to 4 GB of DDR2 memory, and up to 2 TB of storage (3.5-inch SATA2). Tangent added that the base is detachable, allowing consumers to mount the VITA 2000 with a VESA adapter.
Pricing for the VITA 2000 starts at $1,695, however this is one of those deals where consumers will need to request a quote. Still, the AIO doesn't look too shabby... let's hope they're not a pain to actually purchase.
