9800Pro is ATI's AGP mainstream future
Nvidia is going to announce the Geforce 6600GT and non GT AGP cards in just a bit more than two weeks. This means that ATI has to respond with something. This time, rather then going for a bridged X700 card, it will just lower the price of a well known card.
ATI will offer 9800PRO cards for €200 to compete with the Geforce 6600GT AGP. That’s $250 in the US, according to sales staff.
