800 GByte on your LAN
IO-Data, a Japanese IT reseller, showed anew version of its dual harddrive box, the HDL-W800U. The casing contains 2 harddrives with a total capacity of 800 GByte (DMA 133). The unit has two USB 2.0 ports as well as an Ethernet port. It is possible to connect this case to a network but it’s also possible to use this box as a FTP-server. It comes with a CPU (SH-4 at 267 MHz) to enable server-functionality and also brings all the software to set up the FTP.
