600MHz DDR Apple G4s?

by - source: Tom's Hardware

According to The Register, Apple is nearly ready to drive up its dual-processor Power Mac G4 line to 600MHz. The same Mac platform update, early next year, would also include support for DDR SDRAM memory at 400MHz, 533MHz and 600MHz.

In related news, Apple has updated its open-source Darwin operating system foundation to version 1.2.1, and, apparently, it comes with a wish list that includes development of x86 compatibility.
