512MB 12x Type I Digital Film
Even though high-end digital cameras are still beyond the financial reach of many of us mere mortals, a number of professional photographers and dedicated amateurs have made the move from traditional cameras to those that spit out ones and zeros. To accommodate those who need high capacity storage, Lexar Media released a new high-speed, high-capacity 512MB 12x USB-enabled Type I CompactFlash digital film device. Lexar says the new Media Pro Series CompactFlash cards are suited for cameras that include the Canon EOS D30, FujiFilm S1 Pro, Kodak Professional Series, Nikon D1, Nikon D1H, Nikon D1X, Olympus E-10, and other models. The Media Pro Series cards come with a lifetime warranty and feature USB functionality built directly into the card to transfer images to a PC or Mac USB port. 512MB 12x Media Pro Series CompactFlash cards are priced at $919.99. If you need one of these and you're not a pro, you've got a darn expensive hobby.
