Displaybank: 42" LCD TVs saw sharp price drop in 2006
The average price (ASP) for 42" LCD TVs plunged nearly 40% from about $3011 in January 2006 to $1818 in December in the US market, according to research firm Displaybank. In contrast, prices for 40" LCD TVs and 42" PDP TVs (HD), posted a slower decline of 38% and 34%, respectively.
