40 GB Playstation 3 may be set for October 28
Foster City (CA) - An entirely new PS3 hardware is apparently on its way to to retailers in time for the holiday season.
Internet blog Engadget has posted what it claims are internal Best Buy documents showing details about the new PS3. It shows the "in stock date" as October 28.
The console is also said to retail for $399 and contain a Blu-ray Disc of the movie Spider-Man 3, which goes on sale right around the same time.
Sony has already halted production of its 20 GB and 60 GB PS3 models, and the console has not even been around for a year. It is currently only offering an 80 GB unit, which sells for around $600.
