TN launch new gaming vest to simulate impacts
Originally designed as a medical device, Mark Ombrellaro’s 3rd Space Vest was launched last week as a gaming accessory by TN Games.
The vest uses 8 contact points and air pressure to simulate a range of different impacts such as the direction and force of a bullet in an FPS. More fun things the vest does is simulate explosions and creepy taps on the shoulder.
Fans who preorder will get a $20 discount, bringing the price down to $169, and bundled in for free, a copy of the company’s own, ’Incursion’ and a 3rd Space enabled version of Activision’s Call of Duty 2.
TN is also promising us all a 3rd Space version of Quake 3, Quake 4, and Doom 3. The patches will be freely downloadable from the TN Games website once the vests ship.
The company is planning another version of the vest for next year to mimic G-forces and turning pressures for flight and car games.
Mark Ombrellaro says he can’t wait for gamers to strap on the vest and start “3rd Spacing”. Ahem.
Shipping start on November 21st.
