Handset component makers facing 3G challenge
Wireless handset component makers are scrambling to support some challenging market trends including the proliferation of third-generation (3G) services, reports In-Stat. By the middle of 2005, the number of handset subscribers using 3G services including CDMA2000 1X EV-DO and WCDMA exceeded 50 million, according to the market research firm.
