3Dlabs Reintroduces Oxygen VX1 PCI

We've heard a number of reasons why folks are still interested in PCI-based graphics cards. Aside from using them in older systems that just aren't equipped for AGP, some people think they're handy for setting up dual displays. Strange that we haven't seen boards with two AGP slots for that reason alone. Yep, we know that some cards come equipped for dual displays, but they're expensive and tend to be a bit underpowered. A short time back, ATI introduced a PCI version of its Radeon card . Now, 3Dlabs tells us that it is resuming production of its Oxygen GVX1 PCI card while continuing to produce the Oxygen VX1. The Oxygen VX1 PCI is an all-purpose 2D/3D card for consumer and mid-range applications and the Oxygen GVX1 PCI has the same graphics setup as its AGP-based counterpart - including onboard hardware geometry acceleration.
