3Dfx optimizes Voodoo for 3DNow!
3Dfx Interactive Inc. has optimized its Voodoo graphics accelerators to deliver peak performance on AMD processors enhanced with 3DNow! technology.
The optimizations will particularly benefit the new Voodoo3 product family, recently unveiled by 3Dfx. All of the application programming interfaces (APIs) supported by Voodoo3, including Microsoft's DirectX, Glide from 3Dfx and OpenGL from Silicon Graphics, have been optimized for 3DNow! chips, such as AMD's new K6-III.
