3dfx has unveiled its next-generation graphics chip, code-named Napalm.
Officially called the VSA-100, for Voodoo Scalable Architecture, the chip offers full-scene anti-aliasing, texture compression and support for the company's T-buffer special effects technology.
The chip also features a built-in scan-line interleaving (SLI) facility. The VSA-100 enables multiple Voodoo graphics accelerators to collaborate on the rendering of a scene.
3dfx also introduced several new graphics cards.
