3COM announces entry-level gigabit Ethernet
3Com has released a new range of entry-level Gigabit Ethernet switches for enterprise networking, ranging from 5-port all the way up to 24-port models. "The 3Com OfficeConnect Switch 8 with Gigabit uplink will be available later in June at about $150 (Cdn., sale price). The 3Com OfficeConnect Gigabit 5 will be available in July at a price of about $45 per Gigabit port, or $220 for the unit."
