3.2 GHz DRAM from Rambus, Toshiba, Elpida
A speed-demon XDR DRAM was announced Thursday by a trio of companies comprised of chip-to-chip interfacer Rambus, electronics giant Toshiba, and DRAM-maker Elpida. The DRAM clocks in at 3.2 GHz; future speeds of up to 6.4 GHz are already road mapped, the Rambus announcement stated.
