Dell W2600: Respect For Standards
The colors displayed by the Dell correspond exactly to the standards normally used. For example, here's the result of calibration for 6500K/2.2 gamma.

The characteristics specific to LCD monitors are evident here. 91% of the colors were already perfect before calibration. The maximum DeltaE was 3 - a very good result.
| Black spot | White spot | Contrast |
|---|---|---|
| 0.68 | 400 | 588: 1 |
The black level tested as fairly good if you consider the intense brightness of this unit - 400 nits! That's a good brightness level for professional use, but it's clearly much too bright for home use. You can always lower the brightness, as with a computer monitor, but you'll sacrifice some precision in the color rendering.
Spatial Uniformity

The panel was very uniform and showed no disparity between the upper and lower parts. It's a notch above all the units we've looked at so far in this regard.
