LG.Philips LCD edges Samsung to take top spot in LCD panel market in 2005
With a 21.5% share of the market, LG.Philips LCD edged out fellow South Korea-based rival Samsung Electronics to claim the top spot for large-size TFT LCD panel shipments in 2005, according to market research firm DisplayBank. Samsung was second with a 21.0% share of the large-size TFT LCD market, while Taiwan-based AU Optronics ranked third, accounting for 14.3% of shipments.
