Hit by Intersil's difficulties in supplying Prism 2.5 802.11 chips, wireless LAN (WLAN) houses have switched to using Prism 2.0 802.11b chips, leading to a squeeze in low-power 1Mbit SRAM supply that may turn into a severe shortage in the third quarter, report SRAM memory chip suppliers.
