Sources: Korean panel makers pushing down 17" panel prices
LG.Philips LCD (LPL) and Samsung Electronics have cut their quotes for PC panels for some customers, with the new prices being much lower than prices offered by Taiwan panel makers, according to market sources.
Quotes for 17" LCD monitor panels from the Korean players are $2-5 lower than quotes offered by Taiwan makers, though the prices are being offered only to a select group of customers, the sources indicated.
