12 to Decide Rambus Fraud charge
Talk about the shoe being on the other foot. As a result of Rambus' recently dismissed patent infringement case against Infineon, the judge in the case has decided to put fraud and racketeering charges against Rambus in front of a jury. While Infineon's antitrust counter-claims against Rambus have been dismissed, a jury will hear testimony relating to allegations that Rambus concealed its SDRAM patent applications during the JEDEC standards debate, causing the standard itself to include specs that were part of Rambus' patents.
