The smooth surface of the cooler allows for good heat transmission. The Titan cooler delivers amazingly good cooling capacity: at maximum capacity it can reduce the temperature of a fully loaded Pentium 4 580 to just 52 °C. Even at minimum capacity it can bring the temperature down to 62 °C.
Even when running full out, this cooler doesn't get particularly loud. At full capacity we measured only 39 dB(A), which is quiet enough to work with. At lower capacity this cooler purrs along at a pleasant 35 dB(A).
For $50, the buyer takes away a very fine cooler with respectable performance capacity.
