One of the worst-kept secrets in the wireless networking world this week has been the "closed door" interoperability test of draft-802.11g equipment that occurred at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Lab .
First reported this Monday on Intersil's chipset join the party that Broadcom has so far had to itself.
In related news, networking gear maker Linksys trumpeted that they "shipped more than 100,000 Wireless-G LAN products in our first month of sales". But how many of those products have actually moved off of retailers' shelves and into buyers' homes and offices is left to the reader's imagination.
