Gigabyte, more commonly known for its motherboards and graphics cards, is presenting a water cooling solution for RAM modules, dubbed Cool Rain.
This compact cooler contains a miniature pump and reservoir. The liquid is cooled in a 4-way radiator by two 50-mm fans lit by blue LEDs.
The memory cooler is a closed system that operates independently of the other cooling components. It supports both single and double sided DIMMs. Up to two modules can be inserted in the computer (dual-channel)

isnt that a bit OTT? and i bet it doesnt give more than a few Mhz for overclocking.
It does seem a bit hefty, what I'm looking for when I upgrade later in the year or early 2009 is a water cooling products that I can plug straight into my current Koolance system as add-ons to use as a whole system. I do like some of the new mobos that have a water cooling option on the passive Northbridge, Regulators etc heatsinks/pipes.
Rubbish. Gigabyte should stick to motherboards!! - Bob
