ASUS is introducing its first dual-tuner TV card for an x1 PCI-Express slot. The MYC-PE9300Dual Hybrid is able to show digital and analogue TV signals simultaneously.
What sets this card apart from the competition is that both tuners can be used simultaneously, which is not possible on a conventional dual-standard card. The MYC-PE9300Dual Hybrid possesses a hardware MPEG-2 encoder, greatly reducing CPU load when analogue TV shows are recorded. Using the bundled software, the recorded shows can be burned to disc later. ASUS promises an especially good signal-to-noise ratio for analog TV on this model. The tuner card ships with a remote control.
